WStore awarded a G-Cat/CataList accreditation

Doors are open to major public sector contract bids

WStore, a leading online supplier of business IT equipment has today announced that it has secured a place in the OGCbuying.solutions Catalist IT supplier directory.

The announcement comes at the end of a four month evaluation period when WStore, and dozens of other IT suppliers, awaited the outcome of their bids to secure a place on this framework agreement.

WStore has done particularly well, gaining OGCbuying.solutions’ approval in five categories covering areas of software, supplies and office accessories; a revenue opportunity of around £85 million each year for the next three years. Each category was independently evaluated by teams of IT procurement experts drawn from OGCbuying.solutions’ customer base. Since software is a broad area, this was split into several categories. WStore was successful in the areas of software operating systems, office productivity software, network software, security and maintenance and storage/data management software as well as IT consumables and accessories

Stewart Hayward, WStore Commercial Director said the achievement was a significant milestone in WStore’s development. “We have been a key supplier to the SMB sector for many years, demonstrating time and again our unique understanding of this market. Now we are able to deliver our combination of excellent service, rapid deliveries and value for money pricing to the public sector. We already have many customers in the public sector, and welcome the opportunity to engage further with public sector organisations as an accredited supplier.”

In reference to the software lots which represent a huge business opportunity, Hayward added: “Recently gaining Microsoft Gold Partner Certification and Software License Solutions competency has strengthened the WStore software offering, and this will take it a step further – we have a fantastic structure and support team in the software arena and we are glad that OGCbuying.solutions has recognised this.”
