Boxed Software for One Computer
Microsoft full-packaged products are suitable for home users and organisations with less than five desktop PCs. Full versions and upgrades are available. The Full Packaged product includes everything you need in a shrink-wrapped box containing a licensed software CD for installing on a single computer.

Software for more than one Computer
If you need to install the same software on more than one computer, you will need to buy licences for that software. A software licence grants you the legal right to use a piece of software. Microsoft volume licensing programmes offer companies of all sizes, several cost-effective ways to buy and manage multiple software licences - for as few as two desktop personal computers.

Pre-Installed on new Hardware
Purchasing OEM software is a cost effective method of purchasing Microsoft’s products when buying new PC’s or Servers. Although OEM software may be cheaper than obtaining licenses through Full Packaged Product or through Volume licensing there are restrictions on how you may purchase and use it.

Registered Microsoft System builders may purchase Microsoft OEM Software for pre-installation on systems they build and sell on to their customers. These companies must be registered at http://oem.microsoft.com before purchasing OEM software.
